				WHAT DOES THE TERM REIKI MASTER MEAN?                                                                      In Reiki, The term Master means teacher. A Master has taken the responsibility to become Master of himself or herself.  One does not have to base their life on spiritual practices to be a Reiki Master. Everyone has his or her own belief system and is quite free to maintain it. The mastery is in dealing with oneself so that one is able to stay in his or her own energy and not interfere with the path of another being. WHAT IS REIKI TRAINING ALL ABOUT? Reiki has been taught to thousands of people of diverse backgrounds and ages throughout the world. It is a simple system to learn and although Reiki is spiritual it is not a religion. Therefore, anyone can learn it. The ability to use Reiki is transferred to the student by the Reiki Master through a series of Attunements. This tradition is passed down from master to student creating a lineage that can be traced back to the founder Doctor Mikao Usui. WHAT IS ATTUNEMENT? Attunement serves as an initiation process and is carried out by a Reiki Master. Sacred symbols discovered by Dr Usui are used to enable the recipient to progressively access Reiki healing and become a channel of healing energy. WHAT DO ATTUNEMENTS DO? Attunements open the energy system realigning the mind body and spirit, bringing harmony and balance. The experience is different for, and personal to, each student. Reiki is taught at three levels and Attunements are given at each level. What differentiates the three are the sacred symbols used in Attunement. The first level Attunements work on the physical body enabling the recipient to heal self and others. The more advanced Attunements of Level 2 and 3 work on the mental, emotional and spiritual level increasing the power of Reiki WHAT IS THE FOCUS OF REIKI 1 TRAINING? The focus of Level One is on self-healing and helping others. At this level, the student receives Attunements, which progressively open the energy centres of the body. Once initiated, the Reiki healer has the capacity to channel Reiki energy. Self- healing is an important part of the use of Reiki Energy. Daily self-treatment not only helps in the clearing of conditions of ill-health but also clarifies and deepens a person's understanding of his/her pathway in life. Topics include: the history of Reiki, the energy system, the nature of the Reiki energy, the five principles or precepts of Reiki, the hand positions required to carry out a treatment, the Ethical and Legal Aspects of Reiki, treating Animals and plants. Students will receive a Reiki 1 manual and a Reiki 1 certificate on completion of Level 1 WHAT IS THE FOCUS OF REIKI 11 TRAINING? The focus of Level Two is to renew and deepen commitment to Reiki. At this level, the student receives a further Attunement which will empower them to a higher level of vibration, increasing the power of Reiki treatments. At this level the student can become a Reiki Practitioner.  Topics include: Introduction to Sanskrit symbols revealed to Dr. Usui. Learning  to work with these healing symbols, protecting and grounding yourself, space cleansing, sending Distance /Absent healing to others. Level Two is recommended 1 month following the completion of Level One, or even later when the student feels ready to go further. Students will receive a Reiki 11 manual and a Reiki 11 certificate on completion of Level 2 WHAT IS THE FOCUS OF REIKI 111 TRAINING? Reiki 111 training is to Master/Teacher level. Here, the focus is on learning to attune others to the Reiki energy and on teaching Reiki to others. There are two stages. The first gives the Master Attunement and symbol for use in healing. The second stage gives further Attunement and instruction in the teaching and Attunement processes. Topics include meditation techniques, self-development, Violet Breath, Psychic Surgery, and Reiki Crystal Grids. An essay is written on why the student wishes to become a Reiki Master/Teacher and is discussed at length. Therefore the Master level is for those who wish to increase the power of their healing and to take responsibility for the training and attuning of others. This is available by personal request, usually after working with Second Degree Reiki for at least one year.
